Most telescopic ladders require careful handling when closing to avoid crushed fingers as the treads collapse onto each other with frightening speed and power. Not so the Youngman... a unique damping action has been built into the design which resists the fast finger pinching collapse and puts the user back in control to lower each section gently... simple!
